It was a celebration of life and Achievement for the first magistrate and judge of MBAUKWU community justice NKEM IZUAKOR over the weekend….as she celebrated her 70th birthday and book launch..The celebration Drew friends,family members and well wishers together at her country home MBAUKWU to thank God so far for her fruitful life and Achievement for the past 70 years which She described as the “PLATINUM JOURNEY..
Speaking during his sermon in a birthday mass ,Rev ,FR ,Prof Emmanuel Umezinnwa who is the vice chaincellor Peter University Achina in Anambra state , highlighted the benefits of gratitude to God and reasons why it’s necessary for one to always appreciate God for his mercies and Grace in life by attributing the whole success to God alone.Fr Umezinnwa stressed that it’s worthy of Emulation When children celebrates their parents while still alive and therefore commended Justice Nkem’s children for organizing her 70th birthday…and poured encomiuns on Justice Nkem for allowing God to use her in her legal profession to touch lives and bring justice to the
Succor while in service as a judge in the Criminal court…and described her as retired but not a tired soldie.Prayers were offered to Justice NKEM IZUAKOR by the parish priest St Theresa parish , MBAUKWU for more years ahead and sustenance from God .
Reading her citation during the book launch ,The Director center for disability, special needs and Research Unizik (CENDASNER) Prof Willie obiozor Enumerated different places and Areas that Justice NKEM IZUAKOR served in her days as a legal ruminary who worked assiduously to ensure justice and fairness to the justice system in Nigeria and fought for gender equality amongs our women including working with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime to put together a judicial Ethics Training Manual for the Nigerian judiciary..Prof obiozor who is a professor of Adult Education Described Her as one that stood against corruption in the judiciary system in Nigeria and called on the judicial system in Nigeria to brace up and fight corruption which is gradually eating deep into the system .

The book titled’ WITHOUT FEAR OR FAVOR…Mrs ibezim Ohaeri summarized different lessons that can be gotten from the book which includes Resilience.hardwork.Doggedness and above all gratitude…She explained that the book was characterizice by moral ..strength and account of the civil war similar to Chimamanda own version of story during the civil war.. linking the story to her own journey of greatness in Life…In her vote of thanks, Justice NKEM IZUAKOR who is a retired judge from the criminal court thanked all and sundry who came to celebrate her and called for a free corruption judicial system in Nigeria….
High points of the occasion was cutting her birthday cake along with her children and dance performance by gosife dance troupe from Enugu . Dignitaries that graced the occasion includes Igwe Peter Anugwu, traditional ruler of MBAUKWU., Senator Uche Ekwunifer. Clergy men, the Academia among others..
