The Rule of law and Anti -Corruption Program organized a capacity building for Anambra State Anti Corruption Strategy (ANSACS) Committee in Awka.Explaining the Aim and objectives of the meeting,The State Team lead of ROLAC ,Mrs.Josephine Onah narrated that the program commenced in 2017 and Ended in 2023 with it’s Mandate to fight corruption and bring about reforms that will enhance performance.Stating that the second phase is being implemented by International Idea to support Electoral and Democratic reforms in the State.She explained that the committee needs to pursue the action with so much vigour and zeal and advised them to avoid letting the tempo to decrease rather pursue dedication to work In order to achieve the 3 thematic Actions of the International Idea which includes Bringing about Enhancement of
performance,seeking to improve Access to women and disability law’s,and Anti -Corruption.in her Contribution ,A Consultant for Component 3 program ,Mrs Adaeze Igbokwe explained that the committee members are expected to review the developed strategy of the Action plan and find out gaps and also discuss the objectives and the monitoring process in order to align with the process and reduce error in future.
The chairman of the ANSACS Committee in the state,Mr Aurthur Iweanya mentioned that the Committee has arrived at another new dawn that is expected to increase the momentum of their Responsibility,stating that The Committee performed credibily well in the First stage and encouraged them to stay alive as they deliver into the second stage In order to achieve their Aims and objectives.
Prof .Onyeukwu Onyeukwu from University of Nigeria Enugu Campus also called on the Committee to be on the fore front of the Monitoring and implementation process of the Action plan when finally produced.The commitee members took time to review the new Action plan and made recommendations…as well…
