UNIZIK Acting VC Prof. Arinze-Umobi Promises To Prioritize Staff and Student Welfare

The new Acting Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof. Carol Arinze-Umobi has stated that the well-being of staff holds paramount importance and she aspires to leave a lasting legacy as a leader who demonstrated a genuine and unwavering commitment to their welfare.

 

Prof. Arinze-Umobi said this during the interactive session with UNIZIK Fm team in her office recently.

 

The Ag. VC reiterated that she wants to put a satellite on the staff welfare and asides what the conditions of service has ordered, that there are some areas that would be improved upon so that staff of Nnamdi Azikiwe University would be happy.

 

She revealed that it is very important to work with staff that are happy and she would see to that particularly people on the lower cadre.

 

Prof. Arinze-Umobi further noted that she is as well particular about the students and the SUG. She said she has plans of solving anything that has to do with them within 24hrs for they are the reason they are here.

 

She stated that she wants to maintain academic stability and also wants the students to be comfortable in their hostels without facing issues of light and water and with their health care being a top priority.
