NAAT NAU END OF YEAR GET TOGETHER….

VICE-CHANCELLOR PROFESSOR UGOCHUKWU BOND STANLEY ANYAEHIE JOINS NAAT GET-TOGETHER. 

The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, joined the National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT) Unizik  Branch on their end-of-year Congress & get-together on Wednesday, 10th December, 2025.

 The event, held at the University Auditorium, honored retired colleagues who served the university with dedication and excellence. The retirees; Engr. Dr. Oguejiofor Chiedozie George, Mr. Egemon Obika, and Engr. Chris Olisakwe, were celebrated and presented with 7.5kg washing machines as gifts. Other members went home with 25kg bags of rice.

Earlier, the NAAT Chairman, Engr. Chinedu Umembamalu, welcomed the participants and thanked them for coming. Engr. Umembamalu expressed appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor for gracing the event amidst his busy schedule, pledging the union's collaboration with Professor Anyaehie's administration to uplift the university.

In his speech, Professor Bond Anyaehie lauded the Union for the gesture and commended the leadership of NAAT, noting that despite his busy schedule, he prioritized attending the event due to his high regard for the Union such as NAAT Unizik Branch as well as the crucial role technologists play in the university system. He emphasized that retirement is a phase everyone looks forward to, thanked God on behalf of the retirees, and wished NAAT members a fulfilling retirement. 

Professor Bond Anyaehie expressed his commitment to working closely with the Union, stating "NAAT's problem is my problem," and reaffirmed the university's dedication to solving problems and advancing the institution.
