Prof Louis Onuorah Victor Ekpechi whose initials spell L.O.V.E was renowned and Accomplished Medical Professional. He was a key Nigerian public health figure known as “Mr. Iodine” for his pioneering work in combating iodine deficiency disorders (IDD) in Africa. He was a significant contributor to public health initiatives, including leading the fight against IDD, advocating for preventive measures like iodized salt, and influencing health policies across the continent. In addition to his public health achievements, he was also the first Pro-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University and served as the personal physician to Nigeria’s first president, Nnamdi Azikiwe.

ABOUT PROJECT STEAM 2025: EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES THROUGH KNOWLEDGE AND COMPASSION

Launched as a transformative month long Bootcamp, Project STEAM 2025 harmonizes Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) with critical disciplines like Business, Artificial Intelligence, Branding, and Digital Marketing.

Under the visionary leadership of Coach Ndali Modebe, and in collaboration with the Breast Without Spots Foundation (BWS) under Emeritus Professor Ifeoma Okoye, Sir Sam Modebe Foundation (SSMF), Ronke Modebe Foundation (RMF), and Think Twice Love Foundation (T2LF), the project redefines how Africa’s youth apply creativity, innovation, and empathy to solve pressing social challenges.

Emeritus Professor Ifeoma Okoye, Professor Ifeoma Dunu, Lead Project Coordinator Oreoluwa Afe (Software Development), Public Health Advocate and Human Rights Activist, Dr. Uzoma Okereke, Cynthia Odibele and media personalities such as Multiple Award-Winning OAP Honey Ojukwu, TikTok Influencer and Medical Paramedic Gina Oghina (Wrapper Girl).

HUMANITARIAN IMPACT THROUGH STEAM
Empowering Communities: Project STEAM equips African youth to address critical challenges like iodine deficiency, food insecurity, and digital exclusion.

Innovative Solutions: Over 22+ distinguished coaches in 2024 — including Professor Ifeoma Modebe (Public Health), Kenneth Eze (Agribusiness), and Dr. Don Francis Osaji (Cybersecurity) — mentored innovators to design local, scalable solutions.

Community Engagement: In partnership with Sir Sam Modebe Foundation (SSMF), Project STEAM impacted over 350 lives and nourished 400+ children in Onitsha, Anambra State, with additional outreach in Accra (Ghana), Lagos, and Enugu.
